Accelerator Funding

In 2021, the Government announced a package of support to boost literacy skills and help pupils in the most disadvantaged regions catch up after Covid.

Eligible primary schools can access support to purchase training and resources for one of the accredited phonics programmes on the DfE’s validated list.

How to access up to £6000 funding

You can apply for a grant to buy training, resources and decodable books for any DfE accredited SSP programme if you meet the following criteria:

1. Your school is in one of the regions listed on the Accelerator Funding Flyer below, and
2. Your Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) rate is 25% or above
