September 2025:
We are pleased to announce that Danni Cooke our Ilsham National English Hub Lead has been successfully appointed as a member of the National English Hub Council for the next three academic years.
The National Council comprises of eight members including a chair. Members are appointed by the Department for Education with the purpose of offering expert advice to DfE to assist in informing the strategic direction of the English Hubs, including reach, target audience, support model, and future development to ensure change and to drive improvement in the teaching of reading, with a focus on systematic synthetics phonics, early language development and reading for pleasure. The Hubs Council members also support and advise the DfE as appropriate on wider English Curriculum policy development.
To celebrate World Book Day 2025, Ilsham National English Hub lead Danni Cooke was asked to write a blog post for National College.
