Voice 21 Webinar

Wednesday 30th March 2022, 4.00 – 5.30pm (Zoom)

This workshop is free to access.

For many children, their exposure to spoken language in the early years is vastly unequal, and usually these gaps widen rather than diminish as children move through school.

Voice 21 is a national charity that works with schools to transform the learning and life chances of young people through talk so that all children can use their voice for success in school and in life.

In this session, Alice Kennedy from Voice 21 will explore how a focus on oracy can help to create the language rich classrooms you need to develop all children’s vocabulary, and their confidence.  We will look at what oracy is and why teaching it is so vital, the relationship between oracy and vocabulary acquisition, and we will provide you with practical strategies to take back to your classrooms.
