Salary:
NJC (Torbay) Grade G 19-23 (£12.85 – £13.99 per hour)
Hours: Permanent Role – Hours and Weeks Negotiable
Start Date: Required for September 2020

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Assistant Finance Manager to work within The Learning Academy Partnership based at Zealley House, Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot.  We are looking for someone with the same values, suitable experience and skills to join our committed team working to secure high outcomes for all our children.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing budgets, month end processes, financial reporting and of using PS Financials.  The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and enthusiastic.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a Multi Academy Trust and develop skills in the sector.

The ideal candidate will make multi-tasking look easy, and have a confident positive ‘can do’ approach whilst showing commitment to the role.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have or will be working towards a recognised finance qualification or equivalent experience
  • Have a professional and friendly approach
  • Have a good level of accounting and IT Skills
  • Be motivated, innovative, adaptable and enthusiastic in all aspects of their work
  • Have confidence in using Management Information Systems including Excel and an ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Demonstrate good organisational skills and the ability to work to tight timescales and remain calm under pressure
  • Have the ability to prepare, analyse and interpret financial information
  • Hard-working and a good team player
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Enthusiastic, creative, innovative and are prepared to ‘roll your sleeves up and get stuck in’
