What is an Academy Trustee?
The Board of Trustees make strategic decisions about how the Trust is run and how the Trust’s budget is allocated. The term of office for any trustee shall be two years. This time limit will not apply to the Chief Executive Officer or the Foundation trustees. Subject to remaining eligible any trustee may be appointed or re-elected.
The Board of Trustees meet at least four times a year: in September to elect the Chair and agree Scheme of Delegation, and then at the end of each term. Committees of the Board deal with Academy development priorities, premises, personnel and financial matters. Committees usually meet on a half termly basis.
